Team Building

Team Building: 3 Day Team Building Event

Event Location

To suit client (Possible UK location at Rydal Hall, Cumbria)

Duration of Event

3 Days (4.00pm day 1 to 2.00pm day 3)

Aims

This programme is specifically designed to accelerate the 'getting to know' process and stretch and develop the team's ability to solve problems together, fully using the various skills that individuals can contribute.

Structure

The programme is structured to be challenging in different ways, offering a mixture of activities to appeal to different learning preferences. Active projects will include problem solving and adventure (for those who seek it). Models and theories will be introduced to help provide a framework for experiential learning, and tutor-led discussions will allow the team to explore issues in a constructive way.

Approximately 6 weeks after completion of the workshop, the group will meet again, in the workplace, to discuss in-company application of learning and progress on any pre-determined company projects.

Objectives

Specific target outcomes will be to:
  • Increase the team's ability to make decisions and solve problems together
  • Give team members the opportunity to get to know each other better, build relationships, discover new common interests and value the different strengths each person brings to the team
  • Encourage team members to pro-actively support each other
  • Raise awareness of the team's strengths and weaknesses, identifying alternative strategies so that strengths can be fully exploited and areas of weakness developed
  • Undertake action planning to help the team prioritise the learning that has come out of the event, and to plan ahead so that it can be readily applied to the work situation
