Aims
This programme is specifically designed to accelerate the 'getting to know' process and stretch and develop the team's ability to solve problems together, fully using the various skills that individuals can contribute.
Structure
The programme is structured to be challenging in different ways, offering a mixture of activities to appeal to different learning preferences. Active projects will include problem solving and adventure (for those who seek it). Models and theories will be introduced to help provide a framework for experiential learning, and tutor-led discussions will allow the team to explore issues in a constructive way.
Approximately 6 weeks after completion of the workshop, the group will meet again, in the workplace, to discuss in-company application of learning and progress on any pre-determined company projects.

Day 1
Introductions and clarifying programme objectives
Project Night Owl (outdoors): Co-ordinating the work of small teams at night + Review
Day 2
- Project Are You Being Served (indoors): Negotiating within a supplier-customer relationship. How relationships are built and damaged + Review
- Project Colourblind (indoors): Highlighting the need for organisation and clear communication + Review
- The Belbin Profile: Raising awareness of individual's working strengths and preferences as a team member + Team Chart Review
- Project The Big Picture (outdoors): A long self-managed activity involving sub-teams working to achieve a common goal. This project simulates a work situation where team is faced with organising and prioritising work, trying to work thoughtfully and strategically whilst under pressure to deal with urgent tasks and needs
Day 3
- The Big Picture Review
- Individual and team action planning for workplace application + future monitoring/evaluation arrangements
- Programme Review and close at 2.00pm
